What We Do

The Leader in OLED microdisplay technology for the next generation of computing and imaging devices, serving world-class customers in the military, consumer, medical and industrial markets. We invent, engineer and manufacture display technologies of the future in the USA, including our Direct Patterning Technology (dPd) that will transform the way the world consumes information. Since 2001 our microdisplays are being used in AR/VR, aircraft cockpits, heads up display systems, thermal scopes, night vision goggles, future weapon systems and a variety of other applications.

Executive Management Team

Dr. Amal Ghosh

President and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Amal Ghosh is the President and Chief Executive Officer of eMagin Corporation, a subsidiary of Samsung Display Company. Previously, Dr. Ghosh was the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer at eMagin.  Prior to eMagin, Dr. Ghosh held positions at IBM T.J. Watson Research Center and at Eastman Kodak Company. He has held numerous positions at Society for Information Displays (SID) over the course of 30 years, including being the President of society during 2014-2016.

Dr. Ghosh has more than 40 years of experience leading industrial display and semiconductor R&D. He played a key role in the acquisition of eMagin by Samsung Display Company. Dr.Ghosh is considered a pioneer in the field of OLED-on-silicon microdisplays. His work in this field has laid the foundations for OLED microdisplay technology. He has many publications and patents to his credit and has received numerous awards and recognitions from the Society for Information Display.  He is a Fellow of SID. He has received numerous awards and recognitions for his work, including SID’s Karl Ferdinand Braun Prize, SID’s Special Recognition award, SID’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter award and the Korean Information Display Society’s Special Recognition award.

Dr. Ghosh received a Ph.D. degree in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, MA. He is a certified Corporate Director from National Association of Corporate Directors.

Mark Koch

Chief Financial Officer

Mark Koch was appointed Chief Financial Officer in July 2021, after serving as acting Chief Financial Officer since January 23, 2020, and eMagin’s Vice President of Finance since October 2018, and Corporate Controller since March 2016. He has been a financial executive and consultant for over twenty-five years. He joined eMagin from the Turtle Beach Corporation, an audio technology company providing gaming headsets, where he was the corporate controller. Previously, Mr. Koch was a consultant with Tatum, an executive talent and strategic consulting firm providing c-suite solutions. Mr. Koch was the principal accounting officer of Del Global Technologies Corp, a medical imaging manufacturer with international operations. Mr. Koch has also served as the corporate controller of SEMX Corporation a manufacturer of specialty materials and thermal management solutions. He holds a BS from Manhattan College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Olivier Prache

Senior Vice President, Product Development

Olivier Prache is currently Senior Vice President, Product Development. Prior to his current position, he was Senior Vice President, Display Operations and Development after previously serving as Vice President of Display Development at eMagin. He has also managed Philips’ LCOS display product development in the past. His current responsibilities include development and qualification of new products, display backplane engineering and microdisplay electronics design. Previous work includes program management and development of electronics and packaging for field emissive and active matrix liquid crystal displays. Prior to joining eMagin Corporation (then FED Corporation) in 1995, he had been working for Pixtech in France and OIS Optical Imaging Systems in Troy, MI. He received his Diplôme d’Ingénieur from E.N.S.E.R.G., Grenoble France in 1983. Mr. Prache has published numerous papers in publications such as the IBM Journal of Development, and Proceedings of SID, SPIE, and ISSCC, and holds several patents related to the design of OLED-on-silicon microdisplays.
